     This course provides fundamental knowledge in the nature of atmospheric pollution, relative types, correlated effects, control principles and applications.


    The interactive video conferencing-based tools are available in Microsoft Teams and Zoom Video Communications (screen share interactive face-to-face learning).

      • Results: uncontrolled, smoky cities, health problems, fatal episodes
      • London-type smog: emission & fog or temperature inversion
      • Automobile and photochemical smog: and NOX, ROGs with sunlight
          • ROGs: alkenes, aromatics, aldehydes, not many alkanes
          • Oxidizing agents: OH(g), HO2(g), NO3(g), O3(g), O(g)
          • Photostationary-state relationship: NO:NO ratio and O3 level
