The 1st after-holiday meeting of PhD students and postdocs: PhD_post.doc club 2019/2020! Our meeting will be traditionally held on the first Thursday of the month – 3rd October from 4:00 PM in the UHELNA! Uhelna is situated in the building A: ground floor under the main stairs opposite the courtyard. Arrows will direct you 😊.

For those who have not heard about PhD_Post.doc club yet:We are organizing regular meetings of PhD students and postdocs, where we have a great opportunity to get to know each other and learn from our colleagues who we normally do not have a chance to meet or we meet them every day on the corridor but don’t know anything about them.

PhD_Post.doc club always takes place on the first Thursday every month.The meeting is divided into two parts. First, three chaired lectures from our colleagues (in English), then free refreshment and time for a meet-and-greet.

Come to learn new things, discuss, get refreshed and meet people!

1) Ing. Denisa Lizoňová (PhD student from the Dept. of Chemical Engineering: Laboratory of Chemical Robotics)

Immunoliposomes: development and antibody coupling strategies

Presented work focuses on the preparation of the antibody fragment and subsequent covalent coupling to the PEG-ylated liposomes and discusses feasibilities and constrains of the in vitro targeting of the colorectal carcinoma cells.

2) Ing. Tomáš Jandušík (PhD student the Dept. of Chemistry of Natural Compounds; the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, CAS, v.v.i.: Laboratory of HBV Cure)

Design and synthesis of novel nucleotides and activation of STING pathway

The lecture about a searching for modified cyclic dinucleotides as agonists of STING receptors, potential antivirotics.

3) Ing. Lukáš Tůma (PhD student from the Dept. of Power Engineering: Laboratory of Electrochemistry, Corrosion Engineering and Materials)

Nuclear Energy GENIV

How do we replace existing nuclear reactors? Summary of next generation nuclear energy technologies.
