As exams approach, many students experience increased stress and pressure, which can impact both academic performance and overall wellbeing. Learning how to manage stress effectively not only helps with concentration and productivity but also supports long-term mental health. This lecture will provide practical tools to navigate the exam period with greater ease and confidence.

Who Can Join?

This lecture is suitable for all students of UCT who want to understand the impact of stress on mental wellbeing and learn practical strategies to manage pressure during the exam period. What to Expect?

Understanding Stress and Wellbeing – Learn how stress affects the mind and body and why taking care of your mental health is essential. Stress Management Techniques – Try out practical methods for stress regulation, including breathing exercises and mindfulness techniques. Balancing Study and Personal Life – Get tips on effective time management, staying motivated, and preventing burnout.

Relaxation Techniques - Holešovice

Come and relax on our open course of relaxation techniques, where we will try one selected relaxation technique (e.g. mindfulness, body scan, autogenic training or progressive muscle relaxation) in each session.



What are relaxations good for?

Regular and sustained relaxation provides many benefits for both mental and physical health. It can help you, for example:

relieve symptoms of stress and anxiety, concentrate better and remember information better, improve sleep quality and reduce fatigue, improve your overall well-being and resilience. How will it work?

Relaxation sessions are held at selected times throughout the summer term. So you can join in at your own time and preference, once or repeatedly. We will have seat cushions and blankets available, but you can bring your own yoga mat or meditation cushion for added comfort. It is also ideal to choose comfortable clothing that you will feel good while relaxing.



Who can sign up?

Participation in relaxation techniques is suitable for all students and staff of UCT Prague who want to try different ways to relax and unwind, either on a one-off or regular basis. The lessons are suitable for complete beginners 😊 If you would like to take part in the relaxation sessions but are unsure if they are suitable for you, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will discuss and fine-tune everything in person.

Pásmo „šílenějších“ fyzikálních experimentů, které se nevešly do přednášky Fyziky I, nebo nám je vedoucí ústavu dovolí realizovat jen jednou za semestr. :-) Akce je určena nejen pro studenty předmětu Fyzika I k ucelení a doplnění jejich znalostí, ale i pro širokou veřejnost, která chce vidět, jak hoříme, jiskříme, mrzneme, vybuchujeme a svítíme – a to vše bezpečně (jak jen to průběh daného experimentu umožňuje). :-)
